So excited with my discovery!

I was looking through my movies. I like to have something playing while I work or it just seems a little too lonely working from home sometimes ... anywho, I found an old Shirley Temple movie that I haven't seen in forever and forgot about: "The Little Princess"! So I'm going to watch it while I work...mostly just listen to it.

What are some of your old favorites?

    Oh, I love that movie.

Um, let's see, I own all 4 Jaws movies.  And I love them.  That's probably the most ridiculous thing ever.  Because I sit and make fun of them throughout the whole movie.

    I *love* that movie!!!!!!!!!

Some of my old favorites are Monster Squad & Labyrinth.  I mentioned Labyrinth on the board before & nobody had ever heard of it which hurts my heart.

I mean really, look at freakin David Bowie:

How could you not want to see it?!

I used to LOVE all the old Shirley Temple movies!  Now I feel like watching some.

I really like White Christmas and Holiday Inn.  I realize those are both Christmas movies, but I love me some Bing!

[QUOTE]Ely, do you work from home all the time? I do, too!  My "old favorites" are all kid movies. I have quite a collection, mostly because I have a running list of what I wanted to get on DVD (since VHS is pretty much extinct). For example, The Last Unicorn. Don't judge.

Yeah, I'm a full time work from home employee. I love it because I do a ton of overtime that I wouldn't be able to if I worked at the office. My office is an hour from where I live too, so it was a pain to drive there every day for 6 months for training.  I still have some VHS tapes too and refuse to get rid of them, lol.

Where was I?! I LOVE Labyrinth!!!

Also, whenever I stayed home from school sick when I was younger, it always seemed like a Shirley Temple marathon was on. I love all her movies, especially Dimples.

My childhood fave was Flight of the Navigator (although I called it Flight of the Alligator).

Harry & The Hendersons was up there too...

P.S. rdr, you remind me of the babe.

I have pretty much every animated Disney movie from 1982 through 1995. On VHS no less!! My mom will still occasionally get me a disney movie for Christmas. That's my childhood right there:)

But old adult movies. I've always been a fan of All About Eve. Bette Davis is the shiit! I don't think I'd be a proper southern belle (har! So not one) if I didn't mention Gone With the Wind, though I really only like Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable. I love Breakfast at Tiffany's, but I think my favorite Audrey Hepburn movie is Paris When it Sizzles.

And I pretty much love anything Woody Allen has ever made, from the 70s on, from Annie Hall, to Husbands and Wives, September, Melinda and Melinda, Match Point, etc. Good stuff.

Love love love Labyrinth! Along the same line The Dark Crystal is a movie I watch all the time too. Basically if Henson was involved I'm all over it.

Elannis: The little princess is awesome and I love the original. They re-made little princess in the 90s and I love that version as I was 9 when it came out. All dogs go to heaven is another favorite. I wanted to be that little orphan girl!

You know what's funny? I wasn't introduced to that movie until college. Based on all the other weird shiit I watched when I was little, FI was shocked it hadn't crossed my path - I was too. We watched it with some friends who also hadn't seen it. I was like "David Bowie as a Goblin King? Where have you been all my life?" My other friends hated it. Different strokes, I guess, haha.

No judging from me. I just discovered that Amazon Prime videos (the freebies because I'm a Prime member) has all four seasons of "Scarecrow & Mrs. King." I haven't seen that show in over 10 years and got totally hooked. I watched all of season 3 and almost all of season 4. That and "Remington Steele" are my '80s weaknesses.

I learned that TV makes sewing much more pleasant. I put my laptop behind the sewing machine and watched while I worked on my costume.
