...ask for an invite to a baby shower? One of my best friends from my old job in VA is having a "surprise blessing" baby. As soon as she told me, I've told her to be sure to tell me when she found out the sex, and then when they found out they were having a boy, told her I couldnt wait to buy some cute baby boy stuff.
So, we're chatting on FB right now, and I told her I'm so excited she's having a boy, etc. I again told her that I can't wait to hit up Baby Gap. She says something to the extent of "oh, you don't have to buy us anything, but thank you so much for thinking of us". So I ask if she's having a shower/if she's registered, thinking they could probably use some practical stuff along with cute baby clothes. She says "We are, but invites haven't gone out yet or anything."
Should I say "Send me one!", I feel like it's awkward for her to invite me since I don't live there, and she probably doesn't want to appear gift grabby, but I don't want to be rude either. I'm going to be in VA a lot over the next couple of months, so I might be able to go. I just don't know.
