....and he told me that I was in the TOP 3!!!

I called my interviewer just five minutes ago and he said that it was down to me and two other people. Cate, I actually wrote down what you said I should say and said it, verbatim. I'm glad I did because I was shaking so badly I'm surprised I was able to form a coherent sentance.

He said he did not need anything from me at the time and he was going to be calling me this week with his decision. But it's between me and two other people. Now my heart is pounding so hard and my hands are shaking. I'm gonna go pass out now okay bye.

PS I love you all. Thank you for keeping me sane and giving me advice.

I'd send him an email later today to thank him for speaking with you, that you're very excited about the position, and that you look forward to hopefully being a member of the team at (insert company) soon. I've found great success with that phrase - it makes you seem like a team player, enthusiastic, and responsive (you followed up - that's a good quality in an employee!).
