I think it's cute and has a ton of potential. (Please get rid of the wagon wheel front porch railing thingy.) It's on a river? That makes it even more interesting!

Cute! Looks like all kinds of nice space in the yard, love the big back porch. Are you okay with the actual space in the house? It looks a little cramped to me, especially with all the slanty ceilings. Space and high ceilings are a huge deal to me, personally. I'd take a place that had other drawbacks, even if one of them was a slighly less desirable neighborhood, to have a spacious feel and ceilings that were at least 9'.

That is the cutest house ever! I love houses with a front porch. Except, like Paint said, the wagon wheel thing is kind of odd.

I think it needs two full baths, is that possible?

Renovating and redecorating would be a breeze.

I like the sunshine thing on the front railing. :-(

I don't get the three buildings lined up.  Garage, storage shed, playhouse?

    I love the yellow.

Workn, I don't think two fulls are currently possible, but I've been around construction my whole life, and I have MANY people that can come out and add a second bath.

Love the kitchen and the porches, the yard as well.  My jaw nearly fell at the price, hahahaha for me to get a house like that I would have to at least add another $100K that I would still have to fix up.  Good luck!

Lot of potential, and very cute!

It looks like it lacks central AC from the picture of the wall unit AC - that can be tough in that neck of the woods in the summertime.  Would that be something you're willing to factor into the cost, to install central AC?

The "Papa Bear, Momma Bear, and Baby Bear" sheds is kind of odd looking - would you need all of those?

Otherwise, I think it's got a lot of sunlight, looks really cozy, and with a little TLC can be a great home for you guys!

Looks like it has a ton of potential. I like the look of the house and the yard space is very nice. There are a whole lot of factors that come to play when I look at a house that I can't tell from this. How's the neighborhood? Is it on a busy street? do the neighbors keep their properties up well?

I like that it's only 16 blocks from the ocean. If another full bath could be added, that would be excellent. Just be sure not to price yourself out of the neighborhood. This house could be great with a few thousand dollars worth of facelift (wood panelling-Ughh! But easily removed or painted). And that's an option if you plan on being in this house for 5-10 years, etc.

The house could be fantastic with a bit more work. And that would be fine if it's going to be your forever house. But if you think you might outgrow the house in 5 or 6 years, I wouldn't over-improve too much. i.e. I wouldn't buy it if you have to put a thousands and thousands of dollars into it, only to have to move without recouping the value in a few years.  And who knows what the market is going to be like in 5 or 6 years.

I really like the outside.  The weird sheds confused me but hey you can take those down.  I really thought the inside looked bad but nothing a little remodeling can't fix.  Property looks really nice.  You see my family all remodels their houses so nice property comes before nice inside, Houses are like humans.  You can't fix the outside but you sure can fix up the inside.

Looks very acurate to the houses around where I'm from :). It has a very nice kitchen, the windows will give it good lighting. Just dont decorate it the way it is in the last pic! :) Or atleast give it more modern decor! :)

</div><div>So agree! I love the porch but the wood panelling ahh! This is a great "fixer uper" house. I'm sure you can do a lot of the repairs yourself. Although just make sure you have enough in your budget. I wouldn't put a lot of money into it if your not planning to live there for a few years like DanieKA said.

I think it's pretty cute, definitely has potential and the property looks beautiful.

On Cate's point about central AC with all that electric baseboard heating it doesn't look like it has ductwork to be able to do central air. Also on the electric heat, that is a mega no no where I live due to the cost, but I don't know if that is an issue where you are looking. Something to think about or look into anyways.

    Aw, thanks guys!

    The plan would be:

Paint wood panelling bright white and use a different color on the top, rip out the carpet and replace with wood floors (yes, I know how to do that on my own), Redo that yellow bathroom,  and add HVAC system.

I think we can get a reno loan too!

And the odd garage thing is pretty normal here.

That place is adorable! I love all the windows.

I think Cate and Hazel have good points about central heating/AC, though. Also 1.5 bathrooms is a little on the low side for three bedrooms.

My jaw dropped at the price. Only $250k? Maybe that's just my skewed California living. That would cost you $400k here, if not more.

I still can't get over US housing prices. Where I live, $250k would maybe get you a smallish townhouse with very little property, let alone a detached home!

I like it but I don't love it. The property is a huge plus, but I'm extremely turned off by the weird sheds (which is moot for you, since that's normal where you live). The wagon wheel on the porch is a bit odd, but otherwise the exterior is cute. I thought it looked dark and a bit cramped inside, but that could be more of a reflection on bad photography.

I agree that the outside is sooo cute!  I love the kind of country look it has.

Personally, I think 1200ish square feet is pretty small.  Our house is 1700+ square feet and if we have kids here, it would be a challenge.  I don't know if you're planning on having kids or not, though.

Also, the kitchen cabinets look like they need updating, but the appliances are nice and modern!  It's kind of odd that the dishwasher is under the sink, though.  I also personally would not want the washer in the kitchen.

It looks like it has really nice yard space, which I love.  I also love the porch.  I think if you are up for remodeling, it would be fantastic.

Wow! I'm gonna say I'm pretty lucky to be living in Texas. For $200,000 you can have a 4 bedroom house with 2 1/2-3 bathrooms and that would probably be like 1800-2200 sq. feet, if not more. That is normally for a brand new/relatively new house.

I'm just in awe of the prices that you guys are talking about. Where I live you can't get a freehold under $250K only condos.

Sounds like I should be moving to Texas or Oklahoma!
