Actually there's a story behind the vacay...
my grandparents always loved to travel and when my grandfather passed away he told my grandmother to make sure the whole family went on a trip.  Well, grandma was too sick to travel very far so when she passed away last summer she left the whole fam (mom,dad my sis & bro, myself &bf, and mom's sisters + their families) enough money that we could all go somewhere together.  So my family and one of our aunts and some family friends (and BF of course!) are all going to Cuba in March thanks to my grandparents! It's a trip on Grandma/Grandpa!

Quick update the bylaws!!
No vacationing with your BF he's not even a real person until he gives you a ring and god damnit no tickers unless they're announcing the day of your wedding or the arrival of your spawn.

This is a perfect example of why I hate when people are rude to others just for the hell of it.  You never know what is going on in someone else's life that makes them do or say the things they do.  I have no problem with giving blunt, helpful responses but sometimes I think people try to be rude intentionally b/c they think it makes them fit in.

Sorry for the rant.  Your trip sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun!  Enjoy it!

Wow, Paige. That totally made me cry! My grandparents are paying for our honeymoon in Mexico. They LOVE to travel, and even in their 80s they're still hopping all over the country and spend several months in Mexico every year. I mean, this means a lot to me. I can't imagine how much it would mean if they were gone and had thought to leave us with something like that.

That is a wonderful, absolutely touching thing. And it makes me really furious at the person who judged you for your ticker now. I mean, I already thought they were lame for that... but now they just seem like a total ass.

Before FI, I dated a Canadian.  He was OBSESSED with Tim Horton's, but hated the cold, so he settles for Tim Horton's once, sometimes twice a year when he visits his family to get nice warm weather year round here in GA.  :-)

Tim Horton's did have really good doughnuts and hot chocolate.  I don't drink coffee though, so I can't comment on that and therefore don't quite get the obsession I'm afraid.

Timmy is WICKED! I don't drink coffee either but some people around here are addicted to it! BF loves it.  They have really delicious treats too - like apple fritters - YUM!

I love how anytime someone brings up Canada the conversation turns to Tim Horton's. I've never even seen one so I just picture it as some mystical thing. lol

They also had some kind of awesome restaurant.  Swiss-something or other.  I forget.  But it was stellar.
