I feel so behind!

I was barely gone and there is so much catching up to do.

Recaps?  Summary?  Big checks?

We spent all day Saturday doing errands.  This consisted of DH and his buddy getting shelving, cabinets and a sink for our garage while I 'managed' them with my fro-yo.  Then we got our crib ordered!

Sunday, DH helped FIL demo his kitchen.  I hung out with FIL's gf.  We went shopping.  I finally ordered a new cell phone.  We also picked out tile for their kitchen.

Yesterday, I had an OB appt and then ran more errands.  By the time I got home, we had to get ready and drive into the city for SIL's surprise birthday dinner.

Today, I had my counseling appt for the local nursing program.  I was basically told that I would get into the program but there is a long wait.  Sigh.

In good news, I've picked out the accent fabrics for our bedroom.  I just need to get into our house to measure the windows before I order it.

Curtains - white background with green pattern
Large accent pillow - green background with white pattern
Small accent pillows - brown and white

Bed linens - dark brown coverlet with white sheets
Walls - painted green (a bit lighter than the greens in the fabrics) with faux linen weave texture

I've been wondering where you've been!

    LOVE the green fabrics!!

So, nursing it is? Is this s definite now for you?

I bought a veil, finally! And I had my first fitting, and I remembered how much I loved my dress. So I am feeling much better. : )

Yeah.  I've been trying to bounce over here when I have a spare 5 minutes.  I feel somewhat insanely busy and cannot pinpoint the exact reason.

Nursing isn't a definite.  However, I am applying to the program and taking some pre-req courses.  The wait list is not determined by applicant strength.  It is chronological.  Ugh!  If I take my pre-req classes, I can surpass someone who does not take them in time.

Woot for you falling back in love with your dress.  Did you post pics of your veil?

Welcome back! I was hoping you were feeling ok and were just busy.

My sister and BIL were in town. Short verison: Their wedding was a nightmare and if they had it to do over again, they wouldn't have bothered with a normal wedding. So we'll probably end up doing the destination thing. BF wanted a beach anyway.

And I'm sick all the time lately. That's a lot of fun. Otherwise, nothing new here!

Well I hope that you can mysteriously budge the nursing line ; )

and for the sake of not making a new thread, here is my veil and fascinator. And the veil hasn't been steamed, so it's a little crazy.

Mutley - You bought a house? I guess I missed it.  Congratulations!  I really like the green fabrics and the patterns on all of them as well.

Kat- I LOVE the fascinator!  It's really beautiful.  The veil looks great too.  I forget what you said earlier- does this one go over your face at all?

Yup, we finally got a house!  We close a week from Thursday.  The whirlwind real estate market is working in our favor.

Expect several before and after pictures in the months to come.  The inside leaves lots to be desired.

Kat, I love your veil and fascinator.  You did a great job!

Glad to have you back Mutley!!  I'm pretty sure nothing has changed with me... It's too early for me to think.  I looove your fabrics!

kat - I am so jealous of your fascinator and veil - way too freakin' cute!

    Thanks everyone!!

Ana - You can really finagle them any way you want. I think I'll wear it cockneyed on the side of my head and have the pouf kind of popping out. I don't think it will touch my face very much.

and Mutley, I love the ivy(?) up the side of the house. Squeeee! It reminds me of Miss Honey's house in Matilda for some reason. This is a good thing. : )

Mutley - The outside is so cute!  I bet the yard is nice too.  It looks like there are a lot of big trees in the neighborhood.

Kat - That sounds nice.  I'm looking forward to seeing all of your end results!

Congratulations on the house! I love the fabric you've chosen. I moved into a new house this past weekend, so I definitely have the decorating bug.

Good luck with the nursing thing.

Hope your OB appt went well and the baby is doing good!
