Accountability Post!

Sooooooo I didn't go to the gym last night. I haven't lost anything this week but I haven't gained either so I'm gonna go ahead and call that something. A few people in my office decided to do a biggest loser challenge and today was our first weigh in/goal setting meeting. We have 9 weeks to lose the weight.

I thought way more people were going to do it but it turned out to be me and 5 dudes. I was so nervous getting on the scale in front of a bunch of guys but they ended up being totally cool. I'm not so nervous anymore since they all seem like great motivators and there are no judgmental girls...there are a few in every office.
Anyway since I skipped last night I'm going today. Watching Mike and Molly on Monday nights helps me motivate myself for some reason. How's everyone else doing.

I would be super duper nervous getting on a scale in front of my coworkers (all men) so seriously good for you for doing it!! I hope you beat them all!!!

Yesterday I was going to get a manicure after work but I realized that I know myself too well & if I did that I'd get home at 5:30-6 & would not want to work out & my goal was to start working out this week.

So I went straight home from work & started Jillian Michaels' 6 Week 6 Pack DVD.  Jillian knows exactly how to kick my asss & I'm pretty sore today but it's worth it.  I'm proud of myself for not going to get my nails done LOL

Yesterday as far as eating goes, I did really well.  I made good choices & stayed within my points.  Today I'm doing good so far also Laughing

Way to go you guys! I only missed one gym day since last Wednesday (when I started getting back to the gym) and I have been getting better about food. We went to a burger throw-down competition on Sunday and 2 of the burgers were cooked in duck fat and one was pork cooked in a fat casing... My stomach hurt so bad that night. So, I am sticking to my eating plan because my GERD just can't handle eating the fatty foods at all anymore.

I have a training appt tomorrow where I will be weighed in and measured. I will post what I am so that I can begin to be more accountable.

I did like it actually.  There are a lot of different exercises & then you repeat everything once.  it's about 35 minutes long including warm up & cool down which I like.

There was a lot of core/plank.  She recommends you use 1 weight so you're getting a little bit of resistance/strength. There's a bit of cardio too (my personal least-favorite lol).

Today my butt, inner thighs, abs, lower back, & shoulders are sore.  I'm pretty out of shape TBH, as in the only "exercise" I can honestly say I've done in a couple months is the 26 miles I walked last weekend.

Good for you Rdr! I did a Jillian workout on demand once and was sooooo done the next day. She is rough! I got the Crunch super slim down video to do on Tuesdays and Thursdays when I'm not normally going to the gym. I hope it's good as everyone says.

Well, I've just gotten back from eating my way through NYC, so I can definitely say other than walking all over the city, I haven't done anything in the form of exercise. I can also tell you that I just feel nasty from all of the food we ate. I can't wait to have some fresh fruit and vegetables soon lol

I am really hoping to do my Zumba DVD again tonight. I want to pick up where I left off before going away this weekend. At a bare minimum, I'm going to the store tonight to get groceries for the week so I can cook instead of having take out.

You guys are doing great. I tell FI sometimes how much I weigh but still makes me nervous to step on the scale in front of him for some reason, lol.

I wish I had coworkers so I could do the BIggest Loser thing with you guys. I've actually never seen the show, just heard about it. What all do you have to do? Think I could join you, in a way, to help keep me accountible too? Maybe we can have a Biggest Loser: NEY edition, lol.

RDR: I have a hard time managing my time and getting a workout, so if I don't just do it, I put it off and don't get to it too, so that's awesome that you kept that in mind and changed your plans! : )

I had to learn to waltz yesterday in preparation for one of our spring operas. At the time I could feel it a little, but this morning my legs, shoulders, and butt were sore. We danced for about 2 hours; it was a lot of fun!

I actually remembered to pack myself a lunch yesterday. Even though I couldn't eat it until 4pm, I felt so much better when I was done school at 8. I didn't overeat at dinner, because I wasn't nearly as ravenous as I have been. I made a fat-free ham sandwich on rye with a slice of cheese, and loaded it with veggies. I also had some strawberries, and I packed greek yogurt, but forgot a spoon and didn't have time to walk to the student centre to find one. :(

I'm really loving my aqua zumba class, and I feel like I push myself harder than on land, because I don't feel as hot and sweaty. If there's one in your area, I really recommend it. The water provides a lot more resistance than I realized.

I did my run I had planned yesterday, and I know I stayed under my calorie limit, but I was still heavier when I woke up this morning.  Maybe I'm just still digesting dinner.

I didn't do my Jillian Michaels DVD yesterday... I don't even know you girls and feel embarassed to admit this (probably a really good thing because I need the embarrassment to motivate me). I did eat a huge salad for dinner and went for a 3k walk with my dog and neighbours after dinner.
Today I did my 30day shred dvd (week 1) and followed along with Natalie for most of it instead of following Anita like I've done in the past. I am cancelling my gym membership this afternoon and will sign up at the Athletic Club instead. My current gym is a gym with just equipment, I need the encouragement of classes and more a variety so Athletic Club is a better choice for me even though its more expensive (currently 15$ a month for gym and tanning, will be 40$ a month for better gym with classes).

Hopefully my competitive side will kick in and I will keep going so I can post on these threads and out do myself every week!
