I don't really know why I'm nervous. Its just retail.  I don't have to run the register, answer phones, or work off a commission.

Maybe its because I have no idea what I'm going to have to do.

CONGRATS! GL you will do wonderful. I start my BIG GIRL job in just over 2 weeks. I'm so nervous already.

Okay retail is HARD.

I hardly really remember anything I should have been learning.  Except that if someone is stealing something I have to "page Mr. Everas."  Which means "someone get over here cause I can't tackle this guy on my own."

My only retail job was at a bookstore.  There was a woman who wore a cape under which she liked to sneak books out of the store.  The store had a restraining order against her.  We were "trained" to tackle her if we ever saw her and then page another clerk to call the cops.

I worked in retail for 6 years. I'm thankful for it because it drove me back to college.
