    Nice to meet you msuprincess04! You mentioned you like to travel. Where is the best place you've ever been on vacation? Where would you want to visit if money and vacation time were no option?

    Hey everyone. Nope, wedding planning isn't my thing. If/when we get married, it'll be one of those prepacked deals like on a cruise ship or at a resort somewhere. I love the idea of bringing my man and my dress with the rest already taken care of.

    Traveling: Best vacation without SO would have to be Jamaica last year with my best girlfriend. 5 days of sitting on a beach drinking pina coladas with some sailing and ziplining thrown in too. Best vacation with SO, would be Paris last Valentine's Day, it was cold, but how can you not have fun when you have to tie your two twin beds together with a scarf and a belt! Place yet to visit: Australia

    Yup, MSU is Michigan State. :) My undergrad.

    I'm not a HP or Twilight fan. I just couldn't get into it. Though, I have seen all the HP movies, didn't make it through the first Twilight.

    As for the ring, we've been shopping. Though I seriously don't know if it's because we are getting engaged soon, or he just likes jewelry. I know he likes sparkly things, a perk of having a Middle Eastern SO! But, I figure I've probably got a while till we get engaged/married. He firmly believes we need to live together for a while first. I'm not in any rush.

    Yeah, that's me, and yes, it's all the same person. I spent the past few months pretending I was already engaged while on this forum. I guess I was a little over eager. I asked questions I wanted other opinions on after conversations I've had with him. Conversations about how we wanted our wedding to go, where, when, all that kind of stuff. But, I've come to the realization that I'm not engaged, and till I am, there's no reason to pretend I am.

    But, yes, he is my boyfriend and not my FI.

    I feel like I've been in your shoes, although without the posting on other boards and stuff.  BF and I have had some talks recently about time frames, about what we want from each other and life (the future) which led to shopping and picking out a ring and a diamond I like.  Of course I got all crazy about wanting to start planning.  Plus I am in the thick of it right now helping my best friend with her wedding in March.  Coming here was good for me because it actaully stopped me in my tracks from all the "pre-planning" craziness going on in my head and I'm semi-sane again.  I'm still dying to know if he bought the ring but I have pledged to not bring it up with him anymore and just let him do his thing.  Chill on the planning and just hang out for a bit.  It will happen for you!

    I'm glad that you owned up to your posting, and that you've realized that you aren't engaged, yet and just need to focus on yoru relationship now.  I was reading your intro post and thinking okay sounds like she's sane then saw the links to the other threads and was like "Darnit!".
