Just got back from the florist! PIP!

I'm actually feeling like a blushing bride all of a sudden.  I didn't think I'd get like this over FLOWERS.  But, I am :)

First of all, let me say that my boss is absolutely amazing.  I've only been working here for 3 months and her and I have become more like close friends.  She's the one that's been pretty much helping me with everything wedding wise.  If it weren't for her, I probably wouldn't have taken my dress to get it altered in time and I definitely wouldn't have thought about flowers.  So, today over lunch she took me to the florist where we picked out flowers.  And then, as he was adding up the bill she said "I'm getting this for my adopted daughter" - so she footed the bill for my bouquet, FI's boutonniere and then also got a corsage for the minister.  How unbelievably sweet is that?!  I almost started crying right on the spot.

Anyways, this is pretty close to what I picked out..... I'm a very simple kind of bride, as you can tell.

I know it's the "popular" thing these days to have the clutch bouquet, but I really fell in love with this...

So pretty Jeter! I love calla lilies! I think my tastes are similar to yours- these flowers are just so simple and elegant at the same time.

That's so sweet of your boss.

hehe, thanks Paige!  I effin love them too.

bren - Yes, I'm a very simple person.  I don't like huge bouquets of a million different flowers.  It's just not my taste.  That actually goes for everything - even my decorating at home is very simple, clean lines.

Agreed. Something about simplicity is so pretty and classic looking. I'm never impressed by mixed bouquets of flowers actually. I don't know why (I'm not a big flower person) but I always think bouquets look beautiful with a single type of flower in them.

That is such a sweet story. The flowers are beautiful...I love the simple, classy style as well. I'm not into the gaudy, over-the-top style.

    TY TY TY!

Yes, I'm still in awe that she's that awesome :)  She also made my hair appointment (her DIL has her own shop) and told me she covered that aswell.  She says since she never had a daughter she never got to experience this so she's just about as excited as me.  And I actually don't have a relationship with my mother so it definitely means alot to me..

You are so right BBB.  For some reason, picking out the flowers and putting in the order made it seem completely real.  And I imagine when we go get our marriage license next week it will REALLY hit me.

    Squeeeeeee!

That's incredible that your boss is so awesome!!

I also love your flowers, but I may be partial. You are right, calla lillies do have nice clean lines, which plays a large part into why I picked them.

The flowers are just perfect for you and the wedding you are planning.  Your boss sounds like one special lady.  I'm still amazed at some of the things some of my friends have offered to do for my wedding.  It's nice to know how many people really care about you.
  • edited December 2011

Hmmm... like do they make you raise your right hand and vow BBB?  I have no clue what to expect....

That's the exact reason why I picked them Loop ;)  I didn't realize that's what you had too!
