AW PIP: Our Magnolia

BF and I might actually be losing our minds... but we got a puppy.

Her name is Magnolia (Maggie, Magpie, Magsters, Maggie Moo, etc.) and she's a Chihuahua/Beagle mix, we think.  She's only 5 weeks old so she's technically not supposed to be away from her mommy yet, but her mom ran out of milk and the family couldn't afford puppy food for a litter, so we took in Maggie.  She's TINY. She's only as big as my size 7 foot.

She's very calm.  She's a big whiner when she isn't being cuddled, but that is so rare.  She already is paper trained and usually waits until we take her outside, which is AWESOME.  She's such a good girl. <3

She definitely has the sniffer of a beagle.  She's always exploring.  But she's also a total lap dog and likes her naps.

    Lucy lives with my parents, Maggie lives with Isaac.  All Luce knows as of now is that something makes me not be home when Isaac's at work. ;)

    OHH GOODNESSSS!!! We got Binx at about 5 weeks too (For some reason he was taken away from his mom at 3, don't know why.) but  you might want to get her some puppy formula just in case. Binx did fine without it and when we did get him some to mix in his food, he ate our older dogs food instead. I was also going to say start potty training now but it seems like she's already on her way. I also learned that Petmart will clip her nails for free up to 4 months old.

    I miss baby-baby puppies, now my little guy is 40 lbs and I can barely hold him to cuddle (though he's more than happy for me to carry him still)

    Yeah, the family that owns her mom had already given her hard food, so she wouldn't take the formula when we tried to give it to her.

    Hopefully she won't get too big.  BF already has a 15in beagle, and that dog is enormous (I think he has some basset hound in him, but BF gets mad if I say anything. ;) ).  She seems to favor chihuahuas in her body structure so maybe she will be more their size.

    That's one of the reasons, I've been really stressed out and busy.  Getting ready for a big move and starting classes again.

    I'm not too worried about Lucy meeting her.  Lucy's been around my sister's cocker spaniel a good bit and she doesn't seem to mind at all.  It's other cats that she takes some getting used to.
