How often do you get flowers?

Good morning! Just curious how frequently everyone's guy gets them flowers?
 
Is it a random, surprise type thing?

Does he religiously get them for every holiday [ie birthday,valentine's day, yearly anniv.,etc]?

Or are you lucky if you get them once a year?

Do you ever "expect" them?
Looking forward to hearing everyone's experience....

Rarely. I dislike getting cut flowers. I've told him if he brings me home flowers, I'll throw them out. He brings me home flowery plants instead.

Occasionally - probably a few times a year total. Once or twice as a random surprise, and then usually for our anniversary and also for my birthday. I absolutely love getting flowers (from anyone). They just brighten up the room so much. I can't keep a houseplant alive to save my life, so cut flowers are better for me.

What I love even more than when he brings a bouquet home from the store is when he picks me some right out of our garden. That happens a bit more often (since it's free and convenient), and it really makes my day.

Edit: I never expect them, not even on birthdays/anniversaries/etc. It's always a lovely surprise.

I like flowers, but I don't get 'em too often. I think he's gotten me flowers twice... (been together over two and a years...). It was a surprise kind of thing.  But apparently the last time I got flowers, I made the mistake of asking my roommate if they were her flowers... and I haven't gotten any since.  Hehe.

I have never gotten flowers from BF aside from him picking one while we were on a walk and putting it in my hair. Usually he'll surprise me with something I need instead, like a wireless mouse for my computer to make my work easier. Flowers would be nice (says my inner girly girl) but I don't ever really think about him not getting me flowers, so it doesn't bother me.

He gets them for me for special occasions or if I tell him I'd like to receive some.  He's only once sent them to me at work.  It was very sweet.

I buy myself flowers pretty often, though.    I like having them in the house.

Ummm, I've been with FI for almost 3 years and I've gotten flowers twice. It isn't something that I dislike, just not something that we do really. He surprises me in other ways, for my birthday it was an installed chandelier in our dining room.

He gives them to me every couple of months on random days, but they're always when I need a little something to cheer me up. I never expect them from him.

He's gotten me flowers randomly a couple of times.  And that is how I prefer it.  I buy flowers for our house almost every week.  I love having fresh flowers around the house in small vases.  I can spread a single bouquet over several rooms. 

I don't expect them and don't actually like them on the holidays they are 'supposed' to be given.  I like them when they are random or just because.  I also don't like red roses.  Give me some sunflowers, dahlias or irises and I am a happy girl.

BF sometimes gets me flowers for valentine's day and my birthday. I don't expect  them though. More often, he will surprise me with flowers on a random day. It's so thoughtful and I think I appreciate them more because he took the time to think about me that day instead of because he had to get something.

I'd say FI gets me flowers a few times a year. Sometimes for our anniversary, sometimes as a 'congrats' if something good happens. A couple months ago I was really upset about something. He had to go to an appointment, but when he got back he had flowers for me. It was sweet.

Most of the time it is a surprise. Just like he knows I love flowers, he also knows I love surprises. Other times, he just says I feel like getting you flowers, and shows up the next day at my work with flowers.

Usually it's a surprise, but as I mentioned above, there have been times when he tells me he feels like getting me flowers and naturally I expect flowers within the next couple of days lol

OK, this makes me feel better! My bf and I just celebrated 2 years together and while I wasn't expecting flowers, I did feel a twinge let down that he didn't get me any JUST because he has gotten them for me on every birthday and valentine's day, as well as our first anniverary....BUT I guess it was wrong of me to think that it would always be like that.  I know it's not that big of a deal, but it was a tad disappointing! But knowing that not everyone gets them all the time makes me feel better...

He sent me flowers a week or so ago. Before that, a year ago. He doesn't do it often. He does other sweet things for me like fix my car and surprise me by cleaning everything in it. Things like that, I love.

I get flowers from FI a few times each year. It's usually as a result of me having a bad day or whatever. He'll get me flowers on holidays, but usually only for Mother's Day. I'm not a huge fan of red roses and I don't really like flowers on Valentine's Day.

I don't ever expect them. I'm happy whenever I get them. Sometimes I wish he sent them more, but other times I feel like it's a waste of money. I prefer getting colorful cut flowers from the store on a regular basis.

Usually once or twice a year. When he worked out of town he'd send them to work but now he doesn't since I see his face every day. It could be worse, my dad only send flowers when he repairs this florist car and she gives him some for free. Funny story- I used to work alone in a tanning salon and one day, this really dark black guy walks in with a big long box. Since black people usually didnt stroll into my tanning salon, I thought for sure he was going to rob me with the shotgun he had in the box ( like in the mob movies). It was actually roses from fi and I felt like an idiot. When we get a house, I plan on having flowers on the kitchen table on aregular basis regardless of whether he buys them or I do. I'm not a big roses or whatever girl, as long as their cheap and pretty, I'm happy.

Once every couple months-ish. But he doesn't get me bouquets, it's usually a single rose or a few stems (like maybe 3 or 4). There is a woman who advertises her flower shop at the place where he works. She makes Gorgeous arrangements and has the most unique colors (I don't know if she's some sort of horticulturist, but she has very unique colors I've never seen) and he usually brings me parts of those (shh...don't tell! Haha). I've only ever gotten flowers delivered to me from friends or family.

Nope, I don't really either.  I'm not necessarilly opposed to them, but I can think of a lot of things I'd rather have than flowers.  LOL. 

FI and I have been together for almost 3 years and I've never gotten flowers from him, but that's because I told him when we first started dating that I'd rather go out on a date then get flowers.  So that's what we do, we normally do a date night once a week.

I like getting flowers and I have gotten them a few times. When I used to dance, BF would get my flowers for after the performances. I have gotten some random ones too. He isn't big on the Holiday flowers though. I like them better when they are random and "just because."

I can count on flowers for Valentines Day and our anniversary...he comes home with flowers randomly a couple of time a year also.

BF gets me flowers a few tiimes a year, usually my bday, v-day and our anniversary.  Also after any performance he comes to see me in he gets me flowers.  Once a year I get delivery a work too which is nice!

I never do, but mostly because I took floral design in high school and know how much it costs to recieve flowers and how much flowers *actually* cost.

In 4 1/2 years I've probably gotten flowers from BF maybe 3 or 4 times if that. It's very sweet when I do get them but I'm not disappointed if I don't--I love flowers but they die so fast! He knows I'd much rather chocolate covered strawberries from Edible Arrangements. If I don't get those for a special occssion THEN I'm disappointed lol.

um.. in 4 years, he's brought them about 4 times... and not on a yearly thing or anything, each time it's been for a different reason... once just because, once for my birthday, once for our anniversary and the other because he knew I was feeling a bit down and wanted to cheer me up.

My boyfriend will show up with flowers he gets at the supermarket about every other month just because... I love flowers and he knows it, so he gives me little surprises. He's the best!
