Not Engaged Yet

I think I found the shoes

So, for the normal girl, shoe shopping is not too big of a deal.  Unfortunately, I have really huge feet, which means a much smaller selection.  Couple that with the fact that I don't want very high heels and that makes things even more complicated.  I've literally been searching for months even though I have around a year before the wedding.  These shoes are above the budget, but I'm hoping they are worth it.  I ordered them from Zappos, so I don't know yet whether or not they are comfortable.  What do you think?

Also, since I'm planning on wearing a short dress, I thought it was important to have nice looking shoes.

You are going to buy another pair of shoes before your wedding.

I bought like 3 pairs of purple shoes before finally settling on the ones I really liked. And I was only engaged for 9 months.

Just sayin'. But those are very nice shoes. Do you have your dress yet?

No, I definitely don't have the dress yet.  I want to be able to take the shoes with me when I go dress shopping.  They are from Zappos, so that means I have a year to return them.  Being that they are ivory, it's not like I'm in danger of wearing them before the wedding.<div>
</div><div>Although I can't guarantee that I won't replace these, I'm definitely not buying additional shoes. They were way too much money for that.  </div>

I think those are cute. I hope they're comfortable and what you're looking for.

In a BSC move on my part, I have decided that I will be wearing custom Converse sneakers when my time comes.

very nice. with the short heel, i bet they'll be comfortable.

i also have huge feet and it's a pain in the ass to find shoes that fit.

and designer shoes run small so it's even harder to find those in my size.  a salesperson at a local store near me actually has my business card so that when louboutin's arrive in my size, he calls me!  lol....

Too late, they are on the way to my home.  I won't hesitate to send them back though if they are uncomfortable.

As always, I am late to this thread, but I wanted to pass along this website. They have shoes up to size 15. Somehow I ended up on their email list (which is silly because I wear a size 7ish) but they have some cute shoes: http://www.barefoottess.com/

Also, the shoes you found on Zappos are nice, but if they are that expensive, you should find a shoe you really like since you just don't seem that into them in your post.

Thanks for the link.  I'm not unhappy with the shoes.  I just don't know if they will feel good.  I'm not trying to get my hopes up too much until I know I can wear them.  I wish I could go to a regular shoe store like most people.  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-frown.gif" border="0" alt="Frown" title="Frown" />

LOL Thanks =) They're kind of like my signature shoe. I'm on my 5th or 6th pair - I pretty much wear them until they fall apart!

Also, sorry Goldlie, for hijacking your thread. The great thing about ordering from Zappos is, they'll let you return them free of charge and there's no limit. So worst case scenario, if you have them for a few days and test run them and decide you just cannot wear them, just send them back and try again. From what I understand, Zappos is a pretty amicable company to deal with =)

How big are your feet, Goldie?  Mine are a 10/11 so I get the hard to find thing.  But I really wouldn't be buying shoes this far out, returnable or not.  (I'm also a procrastinator so they wouldn't end up getting sent back - they'd probably sit in my closet for years b/c I might use them at some point. )
