Hair Cut Advice

It's time for a hair cut again! I'm trying to decide what I want to get. Before I was trying to keep it longer-ish so it could all go in an updo for the wedding, but now since the wedding isn't for a long time... I can get more than just a 'trim'!

So, anyways, I'm thinking about shoulder length (maybe a little longer or a little shorter). I want to get at least a few inches off to clip off the split ends.

Give me your ideas!!

Here I am on Christmas eve (so this is how my hair was about a month ago. It's just a little longer now)  These are both really recent pictures, so you know what I look like now. I sometimes straighten my hair, and sometimes just leave it wavy.

I'm biased towards longer hair (and yours is so pretty and thick). I think it would be good with a bit of layering.

How do you feel about asymmetrical haircuts? My coworker got hers cut short in back  but close to shoulder length in the front, and it's really cute.

I think a little layering could really work to frame your face.  Maybe some long, sideswept bangs, too?

I vote you cut it a teensy bit longer than shoulder length and add some sideswept bangs.

Btw, I chuckled when I wrote "bangs" just now.  And I chuckled when my friend used the word "plow" before.  I'm definitely becoming a 12 year old boy.

Good ideas ladies! I like the idea of side swept bangs and layers. I think I shall go with that!

I had almost the same hairstyle as you do until about four months ago. I cut it so that it just brushed my collarbone, got some shorter layers around the crown (so that it wouldn't be weighed down) and got some highlights. It was a HUGE improvement... not that I didn't like my 'old' hair, but I'd had basically the same style for 10 years.

I'd say cut just a tiny bit more off than you're comfortable with, and yes, go with longer bangs (tee-hee). They always grow out if you decide you absolutely hate it!

Can't wait to see 'after' pics!
