Wedding coloring books for kids?

Unfortunately some of my RSVP's are coming back with uninvited children included and the guests are close enough to me that it's fine.  I wanted to have something for the kids to do and I was thinking of making my own custom coloring books.  They sell them on etsy.com but I don't think it will be all that difficult.  Has anyone done this before who could offer some advice? Thanks.

Re: Wedding coloring books for kids?

  • I'm in the process of making my own. Super easy. I just picked up 24 packs of crayola crayons to go along with them for .20 a piece at Kmart. Gotta love back-to-school deals. I got my ideas off the DIY board. Post this over there. I'm sure they'll be able to help you more.
  • Definitely check out the DIY board.  Someone there emailed me theirs and I just modified it to have our names/date in it.  It was very cute.  I dont have it saved anymore unfortunately or else I'd forward it to you.  Something else that I did was went to hellokids dot com and I printed out personalized coloring pages for each kid, I made like 2 or 3 designs for each kid with their names on them.  The kids and parents loved that they were thought of.  We had places at the parent table for the kids, but we also had a "kid zone" table so they could get it as messy with coloring as they wanted.
  • check out my bio... i made one and included the template. It's a word document :)
