This has been bothering me for a while and none of my married friends, family, or even my pre-marital counsler can give me a straight answer. They all say "it just is." I've discussed it with my fiance and he doesn't know either.
How is marriage different than a long term committed relationship? I know there are legal benefits and tax benefits, but I not concerned with that. I want to know if getting married will change our relationship. Will it make us any different? Will it change the way we interact? Will it change how we make decisions?
