One of our local soldiers lost his life in Afghanistan on December 5. His body was brought home yesterday so his family could lay him to rest just days before Christmas. Its touching to see how this community has come together in such a tragic time in support of his family. People lined the streets that leave the airport soluting and carrying flags as his body was driven away. Flags all around the city are flying at half mast. This article in our paper brought a tear to my eye. God bless our men and women who are still fighting and can't be home with their loved onces for the Holiday and god bless those who have already lost their lives in the fight.
