So Overwhelmed..

I just checked my planner and missed my daughters dance picture day :-( I am so upset I missed this.  It is her first year in ballet and tap.  FI said to try to book her a private photo session with her recital costumes.  Her recital is in June so I know we will have time but I still wanted to see my little girl's pictures.

Between work, helping my parents move, sorting their move & bills, monitoring our budget, our savings, finding time to workout, Bella's dance & soccer, keeping track of her school activities & fundraising (private school is so demanding!), and the wedding planning I am in desperate need of a vacation or just a bigger planner!

I don't care missing or forgetting a few of my things but thing that have to do with my girl it just bothers me a lot :-(

Doesn't mean you're a bad parent! It's not like you forgot to pick her up from school or refuse to take her to the doctor. Life happens, and I'm impressed by everything you're doing and I don't even know you! I have a hard time being an adult sometimes, so I think kids are going to be a whole new realm for me.

I think the private session would be perfect. Don't be so hard on yourself, you don't need to add to the stress you already have by beating yourself down.

It was an honest mistake! Don't beat yourself up over it. You've obviously got a lot going on!

It makes sense to be upset about missing an event for your daughter. I'm sure she'd love to get all dressed up for a special photo shoot just for her! 

As an aside, I had a situation once when a little girl had been outside playing with my daughter. Both of her parents had assumed that the other had taken her to her grandparents house. They went out with their respective friends and did not touch base with each other about where their daughter was until I knocked on the door with the little girl at 8am on a Saturday. 

She had spent the night at my house when I couldn't get in touch with either of them by 10 pm. Thankfully I knew her parents but STILL...

Thank you ladies.   I think I was having one of those moments where I felt so overwhelmed I thought I wasn't doing anything good.  It is a lot but hey I am trying my best.
