Wedding Website

Hey!

My fiance and I have been engaged for almost a month and we are getting married in about 13 months. Do you think it is way too soon to start working on wedding website? It's one of the things that I can easily work on so I know I could start it but I wasn't sure if everyone thought this would be way too early.

I started working on my wedding website this summer and we are not getting married until June 2013.  We just sent out our save the date cards last week, which include the web address, but before that no one had the information.  I don't think it is too early to start working on it.  Of course ours barely has anything on it yet, but we did get engagement photos done, so at least there's that!

The wedding web site was a fun and constructive way to work on the wedding and to put together all of our ideas early on.  We had tons of guests who were flying in from out of the country and state, so we wanted to have most of the pertinent information up when we sent our save-the-dates, which included the web address.

I don't think it is too early- but maybe don't send out the link until closer to the event.

Ditto PP--I don't see a problem with starting to work on it, but I would keep it private right now and not send out a link to anyone until it gets closer to the date.

I third it. No problem with starting now. And depending how involved you want it to be, it can take longer than you think!

Ditto PPs.  Set to private for now, but those things can definitely take longer than anticipated!

I started working on our website around the 12 month mark. I just made sure it was finished before I sent out invitations.

Yap, the ealier is better. Choose website provider where they let you to have private website,  so that you site won't be accessible until you decided to start inviting guests.
