Does anyone...

Hi, I am new to this, and my wedding is in 3 months, I currently can't fit into my wedding dress, I can get it zipped up halfway, but then I cant get it up any more.  Does anyone know where I can borrow a size 16 wedding dress? Mine is a size 14

    Wow, I'm sorry. That sucks.

I don't know of where you could borrow one, but I would recommend Craig's List or Ebay, maybe you could buy one inexpensively, and then maybe sell your size 4 dress to recoup costs?
  • If you do a healthy cleanse. Cut out gluten and dairy and drink more water you will be able to fit into your wedding dress in 3 months. But start now. You could just be bloated. Sometimes I go on a cleanse and I'll loose 10lbs in less than a month. You can totally do it.
  • You still have 3 months... while that may not seem like a lot of time, many are able to safely lose the inches to fit in a size smaller in that time. Start going on daily walks, eat healthier and get in 30 minutes of activity a day, even if it means dancing while you vacuum around the house. If not, then try local bridal stores for their off the rack dresses. I had a friend who found one very easily 3 months before her big day... and she was looking for a size 16 or 18.

    Good luck!

If you opt for this, be careful with cutting out gluten. My friend went on a gluten free diet for 4 months and now gets sick whenever she eats gluten, it's not a fun allergy to acquire, coming from someone who has celiacs.
  • There's no reason to cut out gluten. You should cut out soda, juice, alcohol, and cut down heavily on processed carbs (white bread, white rice), fried foods, etc.

Or google "wedding dress rentals" in your city.
  • Do a body wrap, it can melt inches off.  I live in the bay area and there is a place here that does them but I can't recall the name.

  • I agree with PPs.

Don't give up. Three months is enough to lose some weight if you put your mind to it.

There are tons of diets and workouts. Just get your butt in the gym. If you can et the zipper halfway up you probably don't even to lose a full dress size. And plus if if it can be let out some you'll be OK.

    But start now!

  • FrownThanks for all your replies, I went to David's Bridal today and they said that they can't take the dress out, or change it. My fiancee and I go for a walk everyday, workout on the bowflex, and eat healthy. I am just at a loss and now we have a little less than 3 months, and I am stressing. I have cut out soda, grains ( I cheated and had a slice of whole grain with peanut butter), rice and any other kinds of sugars. I drink more water, and exercise alot longer. I am eat more protien, and the bad thing is that my girls don't even fit in the top of the dress, they are too small. I have had 2 open heart surgeries and both times they have cracked my rib cage open. I can get the dress zipped up to the bottom of my rib cage, but other than that I am stuck.
