Did you submit an announcement to the local newspaper?

I just got married two weeks ago.  We never submitted an engagement announcement but I have been thinking about doing a wedding announcment.  Just wondering who else has done this... I think it would be a nice thing to put in a scrapbook.  I just have to find a good picture that I would want to submit.

I intended to, but our photos haven't gotten here yet and it's been three months. Not sure if they'll still let me, but if they will I'll do one.

We live in Dallas, so probably not. If I still lived back in my small hometown, maybe I would.

We submitted an engagement announcement in my hometown paper at my mother's insistence. I didnt really see the point, but it made her so happy, I will probably do an announcement for the marriage as well.

I'm going to do an engagement annoucement in my hometown paper after FI and I have our engagement pictures done. It's nothing I ever would have thought of on my own but it seems to be important to my mom and my grandma so I don't really mind doing it.
