Guilty Pleasures

What are some of your guilty pleasures?

I have been watching The Hills marathon most of the day.  FI is sick today so while he sleeps all day I've been knotting and watching the Hills.

Your turn.

Re: Guilty Pleasures

  • Ha! Probably watching The Hills too!

I'm a 31-year-old woman, a PROFESSIONAL, what on earth am I doing watching, obsessively, a bunch of self-centred cretins with more money than sense run around shagging each other?!?!?

Love it though. But I'd beat the head off that Spencer, just give me one minute alone with him in a room. He wouldn't know what hit him!
  • Oh I know!  I gave up watching this show a few seasons ago because I coudln't take how fake and ridiculous it was.  But here I am, sucked in again.

Although it's weird to see what Heidi used to look like, actually it's sad.
  • I KNOW, isn't it amazing how much her face has changed?! And what is she, 12 or something? Why all the plastic surgery SO early? Probably because that gobshite of a husband of hers told her it'd get her more publicity/money.

When she gets to 50 she's going to scare small children, honestly. Kids won't walk past her place, they'll RUN!

  • I agree with both of you.  I've had a busy day, but I've been watching it when I had time, and it's CRAZY to see how much she's changed.  It's insane!
  • I don't even watch The Hills, but I can't stand Speidi and their shenanigans.  I know all about them because of one of my guilty pleasures - UsMagazine.com.
My television guilty pleasures are The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Dancing with the Stars, and Celebrity Rehab.  I am OBSESSED with the Twilight movies.  I'm a 30 year old professional.  For shame.
I also watch The Daily Show every night, but I don't feel guilty for that.

  • The Bachelor is another one of mine!  It goes against everything I believe in when it comes to love, relationships, and marriage but it is really entertaining.  Although I didn't really like this season because Jake was just boring and kinda weird.  The beginning episodes are the best when you still have some of the crazies left.
  • Yeah, I wasn't really looking forward to this past season of The Bachelor because I thought Jake would be boring, and unfortunately I was right.  I'm sooo sick of this Brad-Deanna-Jason-Jillian-Jake-Ali-blah-blah-blah cast of characters.  They need someone NEW!  Thank goodness for the crazies!

  • My guilty pleasure is totally 16 and Pregnant on MTV. I just want to smack most of the boyfriends. But I love to watch it!
  • I  love the drama of Say Yes to the Dress, but thats more of the show that I make FI watch with me to torture him because of the hilarity of some of the girls.  He can't say much though his guilty pleasure is 16 and pregnant
  • I love any wedding related show. My favorite TV shows aer Friends and Supernatural though. I definitely consider these both of our guilty pleasures, as we recently bought all the seasons for FI and I to enjoy. And I love 16 and pregnant too. Such drama, I just want to smack half the kids on that show.
  • I love Say Yes to the Dress, that's my top guilty pleasure and runner up is Bridezillas. I get such a thrill out of seeing ostensibly terrible women having their weddings go horribly, horribly wrong. I think the one where there was a tornado that ruined a bridezillas wedding was my favorite.

I also wach Platinum Weddings for the sheer excess and conspicuous consumption that is in every episode. Seeing someone spend a hundred thousand dollars for flowers is like watching a a half hour car crash of common sense.
