OOT guest help

I don’t  reall know were this post belongs so I am posting in a few places sorry ladies.!
My question is we are having a few people mostly family come into town for the wedding. Most of them are traveling 8 hours or more and we wanted to put together a gift basket to leave in the hotel rooms with a little gift or something extra to say thanks for traveling so far to attend. I plan on writing a letter from FI and I with good places to eat close by and fun facts about our city but what else do you think should be included?? Or is this a dumb Idea?

You could also throw in some bottled water and maybe some snacks that are found locally or other snacks.

Some people include some sort of tylenol, aspirin or advil too.  i've also gotten a tootbrush, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, gum, bottled water, trial sized lotion in bags from weddings before.

We are doing gift bags for our OOT guest. We are putting in 2 bottles of water, gum, some snack bags (like pretzels) and some wedding themed cookies from a local bakery. We'll also throw in a map and a list of times things start and shuttle times to the reception. The tylenol is a really good idea, too!

I like the idea of throwing in the fun facts about your area. I think most people would find that nice, and I believe if you make it nice, it can be used as a keepsake from your wedding. I would include advil, water, snacks, toothbrush (seems like someone always forgets one) and maybe a few other small travel-sized items.
