I'm sorry but I'm laughing over this  " You're right i spelled it wrong. Good for you for spotting that! A board is what i should smack you in the head with for your stupid attitude."   That was mean but hilarious.
Posted by LingerLonger1
LOL, I actually laughed at it too...  I was like, chalk one up for the hoedown girl !!      But, I'm like, seriously, no one even was mean to her before she flipped the hell out !
• She reminded me of myself when I went crazy over my CZ post! I am still SO SORRY for that. I got hot under the collar and went nuts.

Her post does not make me feel better, just lets me know I'm not the only one.

I did try to help. I would never smack you with a board though. That made me go WTH!? You weren't mean or rude or even a tad per snickety. lol I don't see where the "rude" came from.
• Oh, I was certainly per snickety after she flipped out on the first poster who replied... and then flipped out on me when I said "oh my".    I mean, I didn't have to point out her spelling error, but it was way toooooo easy.

I don't have any kinda problem with cowboy boots.... but, she likely won't get any valuable advice at this point, because she is acting like a complete fucckin idiot.

• Yup. It'll be an awesome hootenanny until one of her non-uptight guests gets thrown from that bull 8 Seconds style and breaks something. I bet they'll be uptight then. She better have one hell of an insurance policy.

My dad and his GM wore brown pants and tinted aviator sunglasses and my mom's BM's wore bonnets at their '77 wedding. I don't think it is too far-fetched to ask what year it is. The picture that someone posted really looked nice without looking too ridiculously outdated.

My wedding style for the guys is straight out of Eric Church's music video Creepin...

My FI went to see him on the 6th and it was amazing! When we saw the video we were sold. The style has the 1800's train robbery feel of the video. Dark pants and coat with a hat that looks like a cross between a bowler and a fedora and dark shades with pinstripe old time vest with pocket watches. we are going to have so much fun with this. My MOH isn't liking the long dress idea but its in November and we are going for a southern wedding with the long gowns and I think in the end it will be great. I think its just to each their own

Honestly though I didn't see you as rude I saw you more as "ok be that way don't ask me".
She is being super rude and jumpy like I was. Plaid and teal is not a country or southern thing...

I'm from Nashville I lived there three years recently, five total and down there country is boots and a nice button up and good jeans not necessarily plaid... idk why everyone thinks we wear plaid ALL THE TIME in the country... We don't always wear boots either... idk to each their own... to each their own...... lol

I've lived in Nashville for most of my life and I've never owned a pair of cowboy boots.

Trust me you weren't half as bad as her, and you caught yourself.

• I'm just glad everyone seemed to accept my apologies I felt so stupid once I calmed down.

A mechanical bull is a TERRIBLE idea! Those things are dangerous! Especially if she is going to have alcohol its just a bad night. There will be ambulances lining the road to the reception to carry off the broken drunken groomsmen!

People can rarely do it sober this is ridiculous! I just hope for her sake no one breaks their neck like the people I've seen at the rodeos.

Broken legs, collar bones, arms, ribs, concussions.... the list goes on. Just bad all around.
• Love these. Ridiculous...

• Yeah. I don't think the boots are horrid. Not my style at all, but I don't think it's the worst thing I've seen by far. I think the bigger issue is her mini meltdown after the first person disagreed with her.
• well like I learned, if you aren't sure you want the answer don't ask. I really did want the answer just not neccesssarily the way it came. I didn't post EXACTLY what I wanted so it took longer to get an exact response.
In Response to Re: And, for the latest in newbs with attitudes..... : I would absolutely ride a mechanical bull at a wedding.  That will undoubtedly be the highlight of her wedding.  I'm sure her guests will have some idea it's not going to be formal so they won't dress up so why not?

Linger- I was thinking more issues with alcohol, and mechanical bull could cause a lawsuit- as someone said on the other board.

• Wow isn't she a peach. I'd would just like to point out that we all had/will have awesome weddings without something as ridiculous as a mechanical bull. I'd love to see her grandma riding that thing in her gown.
