So the best man and maid of honor gives their speeches and the DJ comes up to us and says we have about 15 more minutes until dinner comes out, would we like to open the floor and pass the microphone around to anyone who would like to give their well wishes? We are a little hesitant but say sure why not (whats the worst that could happen) everything is going fine, until the microphone came to one of my bridesmaids boyfriend, he gets up from his table and drags her onto the middle of the dance floor with him (everyone else gave their toast from their table) he starts off by giving us a very nice toast. then, he says, "not to take anything away from you guys, but.." and he gets down and proposes to her. We, and everyone else were shocked and appalled. All night every person I talked too asked if I was OK and said how rude they were. It was my wedding and everything else was going absolutely perfect, so I was still happy all night and it didnt really get to me. The next day when I woke up, then I was pissed. He did not ask my permission to do that, and to do it at the beginning of the reception during my toasts is just unbelieveable. Also, these two were STRESSING ME OUT the day before the wedding (because my friend told her boyfriend that she slept with one of the groomsmen years before she even met her current boyfriend, and her boyfriend was so enraged he was threatening to go start an argument with the guy at my wedding) her solution to this problem was that she would not attend my wedding to prevent him from ruining it. Leaving me scrabling to find a replacement bridesmaid the day before the wedding. Things got smoothed out and he promised not to make a scene, but then he does this. My other bridesmaids were already mad at her for even involving me in her drama and stressing me out the day before the wedding, and after the proposal they say to stay away from her. What do you think? Has anything like this happen to anyone else?
