-GABS-

I'm with you on the name change thing...I was having a hard time changing it even though I wanted to.  I love my maiden name!  Unfortunately there is no good way to have my maiden name as well so I dropped it.  I finalized all the name change things yesterday aside from my professional license as that process takes a little while.  I think now that it is all said and done I'm adjusting to it a little more and have become more excited over everything.  Just wanted to let you know you're not the only one!!

Thanks Barb. So many people have opinions on it one way or the other. In the end I know I have to make a decision and just "go with it".I snuck a peak at your honeymoon pics. Looks like you had a great time. Welcome back! :)

I'm still not used to having my new name.  David asked me the other day if it was weird hearing my new name and it being ME that someone was talking about or talking to and I was honest and said it really was.  I think it takes awhile to get used to and I'm still trying to finagle how to write my signature.  I still havent added my maiden to my middle like I wanted to because the lady at the DMV was dumb and told me I couldnt without going to probate court.  I've since learned that I probably should have been able to since I wasnt dropping my middle name but now that it's done I might just leave it the way it is... maybe I'll give our first born child my maiden name as a middle name?  weird just weird.

Ames - your maiden name would be an awesome middle name. Mine would not. It sucks. Boo!

Gabs, you know how much and for how long I struggled with the name change....if you're not sure what to do, just take your time making your decision.  when you're ready you'll know what to do and it will be that much easier to move forward.  I still have only changed about 1/2 of my stuff to my married name and while sometime I feel like i have multiple personalities it has actually helped the adjustment by "easing" into it.  good luck!!   :)
