I'm outta line but I just have to say it!

Ok, this is petty and stupid and I need to get over it, but here goes my whining session....

I booked a mani/pedi for the day before the wedding at my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE place.  I thought it would be nice to extend an invite to my bridesmaids, mom, and FMIL in case they wanted to join me for the pampering.

My mom, FMIL and one bridesmaid wanted to go.  I booked the appt. for us and let my mind wander into much anticipated relaxation bliss....

until one of my bridesmaids said she found a better deal at a different place and maybe we could go there?  does she want me to have her book it?

i really didn't want to...but it was half the price of where i was planning on going.  i felt bad that they would end up paying so much more and agreed to switch.

but i found out it's only an 'express' manicure and pedicure (yes yes, i should have checked before agreeing!  *hand slapping forehead**) and not the uber calming mani/pedi i had in mind.

i'm secretly just mad at myself for not politely declining.  and i know it will be so much more fun to have everyone around than go by myself to an upscale place.

and in the scheme of things, it doesn't matter.  i'm just being a baby and had to get it out of my system.

Wouldn't the relaxing part be hanging out with your nearest and dearest?  To me, that is more important than a mani/pedi.  Honestly, how relaxing is a mani/pedi anyways, unless it's combined with a massage?

I wish I could go do that with peopls before my wedding. I will probably have to go after work the day before we leave.

The other option is that you could pay for all of your BMs to have their nails done at "your" place.  If they're paying for it, they have the right to decline and/or go somewhere else.

uh...give me my B** card, but I'd rather go by myself to the super relaxing nice place than hang out with my friends getting a mani/pedi of questionable quality.  Maybe this is why I don't have many friends.

I understand the difference, but maybe you can ask them if you personally can get the nice massage mani/pedi.
Its better to whine to complete strangers and get over it than be cranky with loved ones when your stressed.

i agree with weeone... good for you for knowing that you needed to vent, not hold it in, and get it out where it's not going to hurt anyone's feelings! =D I'd be annoyed too, and even if it doesn't matter in the long run... I'd still be annoyed and there's nothing wrong with that. It's not like you threw a fit to the actual BMs. Some of the PPs need to chill.

I too would be annoyed, but I am type A, so I really cant help it!
Can you get a full pedi/ mani while they all get express ones? They will have to hang out while you are being finished but it seems like an easy compromise. You could also call the spa that you like and find out if they offer express pedi/ mani at a discount (or a group rate) for your girls.
