Bach Party for my BFF"s wedding...

So my BFF is marrying my BIL (how cool is that!), and I am her MOH. She isn't really the drinking type, but does like to dance. So, for her bach party, I was thinking about doing pole dancing lessons, then going back to my place and having a male stripper come (haha!! They are SO FUNNY!) and then heading in to the city for dancing. Is that too much in one day? Also, do you know how much strippers charge for like, an hour?

 Thanks for your help!!!

  • I'd see if she's okay with the private stripper in home, personally.  I'm fine with strip clubs, but I find the idea of hiring a stripper to come to your house unspeakably sketchy.  My FMIL wants to hire one for my bachelorette, but there's no way I'm allowing that.  I've made very, very few demands for the wedding, but this is one of them.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Well, I had initially wanted to go to a show, but there are absolutely NONE near us - how odd is that?! Not even in Boston! Apparently there was one that lost its location and they're looking for a new home, blah blah. We have awhile to plan, but I don't want to wait TOO long before we start to solidfy plans. This was all supposed to be a surprise (she's asked for it that way) so I can't ask her ... even if its at my place, not hers, still sketchy, you think?
  • My FMIL was saying she'd host it at her place, but it just still seems really creepy.  Personally, I'd prefer to have the surprise spoiled than to find out that it's something I find really unpleasant.  If she gets as mortified by the stripper as I know I would, it's not going to be a fun night for her.
