Beets

I have had one in my fride for quite a while... it is raw.  How long can they last before going bad?  I think it looks ok, but it has definitely been in there for a good while....

Two weeks, maybe three?  I haven't stored raw beets in a couple of years.

Thanks for the replies!  I think it has been longer than 2 or 3 weeks... but worst case scenario I have a newer one on stand by :)  I just hate to waste food.

If a beet is anything like a potato then it should be fine.  I buy big bags of potatos every time I go food shopping and they sit in a basket in my pantry for at least 2-3 weeks before I use them all up.  The only time I throw them away is if they start to mold or get really soft.
