Mail from the knot

So for the past 2 months or so, maybe longer, I've been getting mail from some wedding convention or show thing almost every like 5 days or so and it's getting quite annoying. I mean maybe if it were different things it would be as annoying but it's exactly the same and I looked over it and saw "the knot" logo on the bottom. Is there a way I can stop them from mailing me this same thing? Anytime I try to to completely remove my mailing address from my account it just says that a street and city is required.

Any ideas or solutions?

ETA: I think I may have figured it out. The Knot Newsletters are the ones they mail to your house not your email right? If so I just went and unsubscribed to everything so hopefully that will help.

Re: Mail from the knot

  • Is there an 'Unsubscribe' button at the bottom of the email? If there is, click that.
My suggestion would to actually make a new account and make up an new email address too (like on gmail or something). I'd recommend using that email addy for any wedding related sites you sign up on as well as for wedding shows you go to.

It'll help cut down the spam being sent to your normal email address. Plus, once you're finished planning and married, all you have to do at that point is detail the email account. :)

<div>Lol it wasn't the emails that were bothering me it was the mail I was actually getting to our house! Haha but thank you I think I figured it out. I'm just hoping it helps. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue Out" title="Tongue Out" /></div>
  • Ohhh. I misread. Sorry.
I wish I could help more with that one. Maybe try contacting customer service and let them know you'd like to be taken off of the mailing list?

Be prepared to get more wedding related stuff though, especially if you go with Davids Bridal or something :)

I've been married for two years now and still randomly get mail. One recently came from Crate&Barrel asking me to update our registry lol.

    Good luck!

  • The mail might not have been from TK.  It could be from a company or something that advertises on TK, so they can put their logo on the mail.  Just a way to draw you to the website, and to whatever they are advertising.

If you keep getting them call the company that is inviting you
  • there was an option when you signed up to get postal mail from "accepted" vendors. I liked it in the beginning, but the fact that most of the stuff I get is for places 2+ hours away from me stinks.

  • I've never gotten mail from The Knot, just e-mails. The Knot newsletters are the ones that you get in your e-mail, not regular mail. I get it every Monday. I agree with Grits, it probably wasn't directly from The Knot, just someone who advertises on here. Or a vendor that's won the award and has been in The Knot's magazines. A lot of vendors will show that off so that brides know they're top notch.
