Hotel debacle

I'm having trouble picking a hotel for my fiancee's family (well all out of town guests but I think they are the only ones) to stay at. The airport and reception locations are about 35 min apart. Do I pick a hotel that is closer to the aiport, closer to the reception or in between the church and reception?
(the church and reception are about 20 min apart).

If it were ME, I would choose a hotel in between the church and reception, maybe looking to be a little closer to the reception so there is less of a drive "home" after the party.

I personally would either go with a hotel either closer to the reception or in-between the church and reception.

I would (and did) choose a hotel near the reception.  If I'm in a strange city and don't really know where I'm going, I'd rather do the most driving during the day and have a short drive at night.  Also, having the hotel close means it's easier and cheaper for guests that have had too much to drink to get a cab.

For my wedding almost all of the guests will be from out of town.  My fiancee and I blocked off rooms at a hotel 3 blocks from the ceremony/reception site.  It's so close they can even walk back if they wanted too!  We also are telling guests that opt for a different hotel that they probably want to pick one within 1-2 miles of the venue site.

My fiance and I are doing our reception at a hotel and blocking rooms there. Unfortunately we live in the suburbs and the airport is about 30 minutes away in no traffic (an hour in traffic which is rediculous). But if you've already picked your venue then i'd go with closer to the reception just so there is less at night driving especially after partying. Your guests will thank you for that.
