Hair Trial

So I had a hair trial tonight and I HATE it. The original updo I wanted she couldn't do because my hair is so thick. So then she just kinda did whatever she wanted and I don't like it. I decided I just want a SIMPLE french twist! Ugh, what a nightmare. Even FI said he hated it.

Wow - my hairstylist won't even do a trial until a week or two before. On the bright side, it's a good thing you went so early. Imagine how stressed you'd be if this happened with only a few weeks to go!

That's a bummer. Well at least you know that now, rather than closer to your date :/

Do you mind showing a picture of what you wanted to do?? I have extremely thick hair, and most of the time, stylists love to work with thick hair over thin hair because it's easier. Don't settle on something you don't really want, I'm sure there are alternatives.

:( Sorry you hated it. I hope she can come up with something better at the next trial, or it might be time to find someone else!

This is what I wanted.... This is what I got since she couldn't do what I wanted due to my thick hair. She told me my hair was too fine and silky but insanely thick... Amanda - sounds like a bit of a cop out to me. I have thin hair but lots of it. The actual strands are thin but there is tons! My hair is also silky. Like Steffy said, I would hate to see you settle just to avoid a "mess". You should be able to get exactly what you want! :)You may want to consider looking elsewhere for a stylist. I don't remember if you have booked her for you and your girls but you have time to keep looking - Mel is right - stylists don't like to do trials too far in advance because they want to be able to remember exactly what they did for you and make sure you are happy.Good Luck!

I have to agree... what she came up with isn't even comparible. I would talk to some other people and see if they can do it, and even if they aren't available maybe they can give your stylist some tips... GOOD LUCK!!

I have already called a few people to try it out. I told a friend of mine that I will travel the entire east coast until I find someone that can do this. I want to LOVE my hair and I did NOT love what she came up with last night.

My co-worker wears her hair similar to your hair trial. We call it the "duck's a$$" style. :-P I don't think yours was even close to the photo!
