So my future SIL is one of the bridesmaids in my wedding. The day I got engaged she started talking about dresses (even before being asked to be in the wedding) and what she wanted to wear. I told her that I had always loved the look of tea-length dresses, and would probably go with that. Well, fast-forward about a year when I choose five dresses for the bridesmaids to pick from. I received answers from each of the other bridesmaids as to which they preferred, but nothing from my future SIL. She did call my FI though and say that if she wasn't wearing an empire-waisted long flowy (sp?)gown then she just wouldn't be in the wedding. AHHH!! She does have a few redeeming factors however, one, I love her, I do, and two, she is having a baby about five months prior to the wedding. So....bridal gowns are long and flowey!! That's right, I gave in....I really wanted his sister (they are very close) to be in the wedding so I did what it took. The other bridesmaids aren't exactly happy with the change, but they don't really care. Well, thanks for listening, needed to vent about that. What about you ladies? What would you have done in this situation?
