What would you wear?

FI and I are going to a wedding this weekend. The ceremony will be at the couple's house, in their backyard. The reception is at a casual restaurant the groom owns. 2 p.m. wedding. I feel like whatever I have in my "wedding wear" part of my closet is too dressy. Thoughts?

I would probably wear a nice pair of dress pants and dressy top. I think you can never be too dressy with a few exceptions.

I would wear a cute dress. My aunt got married a couple years ago and it was similar to the wedding you are going to. Most of the women wore dresses and the men wore dress pants or nice shorts and polo shirts. Do you know how the bride and groom and bridal party are dressing?

I'd go with either a sun dress/summery dress type feel. Or a semi-casual bottom with a nice top.

I would wear a dress. I would not wear slacks, casual wedding or not. JMO. I think a summer dress would be fine. I would always rather be over dressed than under dressed.GL!

I would wear a pretty summer skirt, a tank top and a cardigan. Something that you might wear to a bridal shower or to a nice date out with FI??

I agree with some of the girls, a cute dress (more of a sundress imo) would be appropriate.

I agree with a cute summer dress or skirt/top. IMO I would not wear pants, no matter how dressy. I went to a casual wedding on a boat (men were wearing jeans) a few years ago and wore a cute summer dress and I felt fine. I wold rather be over dresses than under dressed any day.
