Chit Chat

We need to give our cats a talkin to

I've noticed a large number of knotties with sick cats recently. And now today I had to take our kitty Soma into the vet for surgery. She's an awesome cat, but suicidally dumb about eating small objects.

Hopefully she goes through surgery ok, and they pull out whatever the heck she ate this time. Last time it was an earplug. We try to keep small items off the floor, but she's a determined kitty.

On the upside, we'll get another cone of shame picture of her, which never gets old.

Seriously folks, we need to give out knot kitties a stern lecture.

  • Sorry about your kitty :(

I love the cone of shame. Here's my dog in an unnecessarily large one.

  • Can we add my hedgie Pax to the list.  He's got an eye issue and the exotics vet isn't in until Tuesday.  I have to stop reading about it though because it says it can be anything from an allergy, dust particles to a tumor.

  • Heehee cone of shame pics are hilarious. Your dog even looks ashamed. And Hoboken, you are officially awesome for having a hedgie! I love them and always wanted one, but never got around to it. Hopefully your poor little guy just has allergies.

I actually have 2. My other one Toby is a special needs rescue- he's blind.

I'm starting to think I should only knot when my cats are in another room. I don't want them getting any silly ideas from every else's kitties.  I hope everyone's cats are safe!

Though I'm totally doing the dress idea if I have any more pets with surgery. That sounds hilarous to watch.

Thanks for the well wishes. They're going to rehydrate her through tomorrow, then do surgery on monday if she doesn't upchuck whatever she's eaten. Silly kitty is costing us a lot, but she's a dedicated laphogger and we'd miss her dearly.

  • Good luck with kitty. I am sure kitty will have a speedy recovery.  They are such a hangfull sometimes.  My newest kitty is not even a year old and he insists stealing EVERYTHING.  He keeps stealing my ponytail holders from my purse.  He literally will stick his whole head in my purse to find them and run away with it.  He needs that talking to big time!
