Where to find bride gowns with a color splash?

I'm getting married at the beach on June 4, 2011. I am not excited about wearing an all white (or off-white, or whatever) dress, and I'm trying to find a place (online? Or in DC area?) where I can find wedding dresses that have a splash of color. I've loved looking through the latest Wai Ching bridal dress selection, but they aren't entirely my style - though I love the way the color is incorporated into the dresses. 

I'm also not looking to spend more than $1000, and I'd prefer closer to $500. I'm guessing that means custom dresses are out of the question, but if there's a place I can do custom under $1000, I'm open to it. 

Any ideas?

I would try Etsy....a friend of mine just recently got married and she got a custom dress on Etsy (not sure which seller though). Her dress was along the lines of the Wai Ching dresses.
