Tux Question

So my FI is ready to pick out the tuxes for the groomsmen. We went yesterday to Men's Warehouse and he found one that he liked, but the rental is about $180! We were shocked- we honestly did not think it would cost that much, so we are going to shop around a bit. I know the guys don't want to pay more than $150, so if we have to we will subsidize the cost. Has anyone rented for less than this at any of the major chain tuxedo rental places? Does anyone have experience with Joseph A. Banks tuxedo rentals?

I would check Savvi Formalwear.  We got some coupons that gave all the groomsmen $40 off and my FI's tux was free.  I think this requires 5 tux rentals, though.

We got the tuxes at Mens Wearhouse as well.  They gave us his tux for free and $30 off each of the guys tuxes as well; but that was for 5 or more tux rentals.  So, if you have 5 or more tux rental then the cost of that tux will be $150 with the $30 off

We rented ours at Men's warehouse yesterday and they were 179.00, minus a 40 discount that we got through David's Bridal.  (We bought bridesmaids dresses there, so we got the affiliated discount).  If you rent 5, the groom gets his free.   Our MW store said that if we hadn't had the DB discount, they could have given us the prom discount, which is $30.00.  So, you might want to ask.

There are other cheaper options for tux rentals at MW.  Some of them were 109 or 124.  but, they aren't the top of the line styles.

This is why we had the guys get suits.  It was about 150 dollars during the buy 1 get 3 free at Joseph A. Bank sale (that they seem to perpetually be having) and they ended up getting to keep it at the end of the day.

H rented his tux at Jos A Bank.  It was about $130, which included shoe rental.
