Hey ladies! My BM and I went to DB this weekend to try on some dresses for her, and she fell in love with a floor length v-neck jersey knit dress. It was lovely on her, but she tried it on in a dark brown color, and the color I was interested in is Malibu which is a bright blue-turquoisey color. They only offer fabric sample swatches in Satin, so I'm hesitant about ordering this dress without knowing how the color will look in the jersey knit fabric. I know different fabrics take dye differently so this makes it feel like we're taking a gamble about how the color will turn out.
With it being a full length dress in a bright and not-so-subtle color, I feel that it's important to know how the actual dress will look in terms of being the right shade. Not to mention, we saw a Malibu satin dress in the store, and the shade was much different than how the Jersey knit Malibu appears on the website photo:
