Purchase gown online...where to alter?

I tried on a dress at David's Bridal and I think it's THE ONE (yay!)  I searched online when I got home and found it for half price! 

I already know that it fits me right off the rack, but it will need to be hemmed.  Also, the bustle is kind of unique, so I'll need some help with that.  If I order it online, can I take it to DB for alterations since it's their design?  If not, how do I find a reputable seamstress/tailor/alterations shop in my area?

A lot of people have said that David's Bridal alterations are overpriced.

Hop onto your local board and ask people to recommend someone local who does good alterations. Also check for reviews on Yelp.com and possibly weddingwire.com.
