Almost the right necklace, but not quite... (PIP)

I'm in search of a necklace styled like the one below (Anna Bellagio "Maisie") but just a tad different.  I love the idea of a single strand of pearls with an off-centered sparkly or silver brooch.  This brooch isn't quite right.

My Gracy Kelley-inspired gown does not have any embellishment, and I've always adored the classic styling of pearls but also think I need just a touch of shine.  Any suggestions?

Could you buy pearls and a broach you like seperate and pin the broach onto the pearls? (it would have to be on the lighter side)

If you're not liking the accent on the pearls, maybe you find a brooch or something at a local antique store or e-bay to add to a stand of pearls.
