Veil AND hair pins?

Is anyone wearing hair pins and a veil? I have a simple veil with a very thin line of satin trim around it and have been looking at the below hair pins. Then i got paniced that veil AND pins would seem over the top? I like the idea of pins to dress up my hair a little, I'm planning on using only 3 of them. 

Thoughts?

I am planning on wearing a veil and a hair comb, with the comb tucked in right above the veil so it kind of looks like they're one piece.

When I tried on my dress at the bridal salon I liked the veil but to me it felt like something was missing so I as for something with feathers (as weird as it is we have chickens and love them) the consultant brought out this hair pin with has a white flower with feathers. I said sold from that moment.  It completes the whole dress and adds a fun little element that is totally us.

Well, why not both? You'll only be wearing the veil for a little while, so the hairpins will add a sparkle to your hair during the reception when your veil is resting.
