dress question

Hi!

I went looking for a light, airy, dress for my beach ceremony, possible outdoor reception, second wedding.  I was looking at floor length Alfred Angelo white bridesmaids dresses - - I fell in love with this dress:

My question is...do you think it's too heavy for beach/outdoor reception/wedding number 2?  It actually looks better on me...since I have hips!

When I think 'beach' I think more along the lines of airy tulle or lace, not exactly that. I think it may be a little out of place. However, it's your wedding and you should go with whatever you want to.

I think it would look fine at your wedding. But really no one is going to question what you are wearing. You are the bride...you can wear whatever you want!

When I think Beach wedding I think really simple and elegant. This dress is certainly that!

If you've tried the chiffon dresses and they weren't your thing, then I say go for it! If you have not yet tried any chiffon, and do want a more airy feel, I'd try some of those.

I agree that if it is the dress you want go for it! It isn't a huge and frou frou so so I don't think it would be out of place. With that being said though, make sure the dress is breathable. You're going to be in hot in the dress outside regardless, just make sure that you aren't already getting hot just walking around the store and stuff. My friend had what is certainly more of an indoor dress and it turned out to be an outdoor wedding. After pictures we had to get her inside and strip her down until a few minutes until the ceremony b/c she was about to pass out. And nbody wants a passed out bride!

I really love that dress! It'll be beautiful on the beach (actually, I prefer these dresses on the beach to chiffon ones because I hate seeing the dresses blow around!!) Good choice

Beautiful dress for a beach wedding!  If you like it and if it feels and looks great on you, then it's the dress for you.  If there too many layers or linings that you're concerned about, you could always have some extra material taken out in the alteration process to free yourself a little.  Very tasteful choice!
