So I have my dress ordered, and also ordered a flower/feather hairpiece from etsy. I'm struggling with whether or not to have a veil also. I recently tried on some veils at my first dress fitting, and my first instinct was that it looked too traditional for my taste. But my mom was enamored with the veil and thinks that the look doesn't seem complete without a veil...so now I'm flip-flopping and thinking maybe she's right. I thought about a birdcage, as it would be sort of a happy medium...but I'm just not crazy about them on me. If I do get a veil, it would probably be something not too long, not too poofy, and something that would pin underneath my updo, rather than something on the top of my head...if that makes sense?
