Panic...can I wear this rather formal wedding dress to my barn wedding??

http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=J1419

I'm wearing a Maggie Sottero;I'm 5'3", petite. It's a total ballgown as I'm doing a full crinoline to save from having it hemmed. Like, larger than the picture. Not couture, just bigger!

Having a very rustic barn wedding in yellows; Classic touches like silvers and satins and the like. Just tell me: If you came to such a wedding, in a little barn (a pretty one!!) would you think secretly that I looked a little ridiculous?? I loved the dress and bought it anyway (hey, you only do it once!); It's too late to go back but I'm panicky with the colour change (salon ordered it in white not ivory) and this is just throwing me off my confidence game!
What's your opinion?

I LOVE that dress and I think it will look beautiful anywhere. So what if it's in a barn, no one is going to be looking at you in the dress and thinking that and if anyone does who cares? It's your wedding so you can wear any kind of dress anywhere you want haha I think the contrast of the dress in the barn will look awesome! No one will think you look ridiculous, promise :)

  • love it! i went to a wedding this past summer (church ceremony, then rustic  backyard reception) and the bride had a huge, poofy dress (similar to yours in some ways) and she looked gorgeous, and not out of place at all. you're the bride, you need to stand out! :)
