Winter wedding and cape

Hello!  My wedding is next December and I have already ordered my dress and have also ordered a matching ivory satin, faux fur trimmed cape which is amazing.  My fiance's grandmother suggested I wear it walking down the aisle because (aside from the fact that she absolutely adores it) she wants to make sure that everyone will see it because not everyone will see me in it outside of the church.  I like this idea but I am unsure of how it would work with my veil and everything.  I know thats what bridesmaids help with but I don't want it to be something we are fussing with up at the alter with all eyes on us.  Peharps it is something I could put on after our kiss when we are walking out of the church?  Any suggestions??

If you want to wear it down the aisle, maybe you don't even need a veil!  It sounds really beautiful!  And you would really stand out if you did that.  But if you already have the veil and want to wear it down the aisle, I would say just save the cape for after the ceremony, when you are walking out of the church.  Then everyone has a chance to see it when you leave.
I'm liking of getting a cape of sorts as well, since I am also having a winter wedding.  Mine will probably not be fur-lined though . . . yours sounds so nice and warm!
