Bridals By Lori-ATL (Say Yes To The Dress ATL)

I'm going to Bridals by Lori this weekend. I am SO excited, but also not sure what to expect. It's my first time out dress shopping. Tips or advice? Anyone that's been there??

  • I haven't been there since I'm in Canada, but I can offer you some general bridal gown shopping tips.

    1) Bring a small group of people. The fewer the better - seriously. Don't be the girl that shows up with 10 of her 'besties' in tow. You'll probably just end up crying and leave without a dress.

    2) Know your budget and stick to it. Don't try on dresses you can't afford.

    3) Be open to other styles of dresses you might not initially like. I ended up with a dress that was 100% not what I came in for and I l-o-v-e it. The consultants know what they're doing so don't necessarily discard a dress that they bring you.

    4) Bring a bottle of water, hair tie and small snack. It gets hot trying on all those dresses and bridal shops usually have a lot of lights which only adds to the heat.

    Have fun!

This is great advice.  As for the number of people...I would seriously only bring at the most 2 people with you...and make sure it is the two people that you trust their opinion completely.  There are too many brides that bring loads of people and those individuals are too busy trying to "dress themselves" so to speak then the actual bride.
