Help finding affordable gown!

I fell in love with a dress outside of my price range. I know, I never should have tried it on. But it was so fun and I just LOVE it!

Do you have any idea on how I can get something very similar for cheaper? (consignment, made by seamstress, etc.)

It's the Paloma Blanca 4062 in diamond white.

I am a street size 12, so I just love how this slims me and how it looks on me.

Here are some photos.

  • I don't know your price-range or how much this dress is, but a seamstress can usually recreate a nice gown for NO LESS than $700.  You can find seamstress or look for etsy bridal designers (check reviews!).  But it could very well be more expensive than that.  Maybe much more expensive.

There are a lot of used wedding gown sites, like oncewed.com, recycledbride.com, preownedweddingdresses.com

Definitely check those out, along with things like ebay or craigslist (but be careful of knock-offs!)

You can try Pearl's place, which is a bridal salon that has amazingly cheap prices.  That still may not be cheap enough for you.

Or you can try and find a similar dress from a more affordable designer.

Have you tried looking for it used on Recycledbride.com or some of the other sites that sell pre-owned or sample dresses?
  • I found it at this site.  It is a UK site, but you may be able to purchase it.  I'm not sure on the current exchange rate for the pound, but this may be in your price range.  I would also research the current UK sizing chart that compares to the US as well.
