Hair questions and advice

So I wanted to ask everyone a question here...I live in RI but am getting married in Nashua the Sunday of Memorial Day wkend 2010.  I have begun my search to either find a salon that is open on Sundays or to find one that will open up for myself and my 10 others that need updos.. and I am having a hard time....Can anyone recommend a salon in the Nashua area, that i should give a try??  Also how much on average are bridal updos??  I have gotten some quotes that seem crazy high to me!!  For example $105, which I can't see is worth it at all!!!!!  TIA

I was married on a Sunday and used Innovations Salon in Merrimack since they were fully open.  Anytime you add the word "bridal" to anything, the prices tend to sky rocket!  I think the up do price was under $100 for bridesmaids and over $100 for the bride.  Good luck!

wow! that is so much!  I am not a hair stylist but i can't  believe they charge that much!! Any time I have gotten an updo for it has been done in less than 30-45 minutes and I have thick longer hair!!Guess I better start settign aside some more $$ for day of beauty :)Also Yay, I see in your bio you used PJ's I am thinking of using him.. would you recommend him??

i also had my hair done at innovations, and it was $85 for an up-do... 2 of my bridesmaids also got their hair done there and it was $65 for 1, and $75 for the other (all of those prices being pre-gratuity)... it all depends on your stylist and their "level"... innovations also has a "referral" program... if your bridesmaids get your hair done there and it's their first time to innovations, you get i think like $25 in "referral" money... i'd definitely recommend them -- they are so nice and accommodating... we also did our manis and pedis their the day before the wedding as they are a full service salon

I just got married - in Maine - on a Sunday.  I found a salon that was owned by one stylist, who has 2 more stylists working for her - like a mom and pop style business. She was willing to open the shop for 5 of us on a Sunday, and charged me only $35 for my updo.  Finding a small "hole in the wall" type place may be a good option in addition to the other suggestions.  It worked for me.

I agree with Chayer, if you dont want to pay a ton then find a small place and see if they will open up especially for you and your girls!I also used Innovations in Merrimack and was really pleased with everyone's hair.  Like Heather said, the price range varies depending on the style but I thought it was worth it for the total experience that we received.

km-  I would absolutely recommend PJ for flowers!  He has so many great ideas and his shop is full of beautiful things... I had a hard time narrowing down what I wanted and he took control and really nailed it with my centerpieces.
