Strange veil question..

Okay so I just watched the movie "the wedding date" and the little sister getting married in it has a beautiful veil that is sheer, almost not tulle, or at least a very fine tulle. I don't know how to describe it, but I must have that veil!! It lays flat against her body, no puffiness and is see through, absolutely beautiful...but I can't seem to find what kind of material it's made of. I've googled everything, and I just seem to end up with stuffy, fluffy veils. Any veil experts out there, or anyone chased the same dragon after watching the movie? I would love any help, if anyone is a veil expert. Seriously, I hate tulle, i can hardly stand it under my dress, let alone on top of my head:) Thanks ladies!

Re: Strange veil question..

  • You might want to do some fabric shopping on your own and then find a seamstress to attach it to a comb. If you can find the material you want it will be customized to you.
  • Can you post a pic?

Ditto on posting a pic, that would be helpful.  Without it, the only thing I can suggest is that you look for veils made from organza, chiffon, or silk gauze.  Those fabrics are more likely to lay flat than tulle.

  • this weird, I wanted that same exact veil!  I ended up on a cathedral cut edge veil though.  I think it is made of the poly chiffon material since it wasn't as sheer as most veils were.  here is a link (sorry its not clicky - stupid firefox @ work) of some that are made out of the poly chiffonhttp://www.veilubridal.com/chiffon-wedding-veils-discount.htm
  • I wanted the same veil too. To get the look I went with a plain cut drop veil and because there was no gathering the veil was very sheer.
