I'm not sure if this is the most appropriate forum to post this, but I am wondering about shoes!When I went dress shopping last month I brought a pair of shoes I was wearing to a friend's wedding.  I had no intention of buying a dress, I just liked trying dresses on with heels.  I have small feet, and the bridal shop's sample size for shoes was an 8 (I am a 5.)Well, I ended up buying my dress.  I paid to have it custom fit for my height, and had the shoes on when they measured me.The seamstress informed me that I would need to wear heels of the same height or smaller with the dress for my wedding.I thought it would be okay, but now I'm worried.  Is a 2.5 inch heel pretty average?

Yea, 2.5 inch is a very common heel height, so you should be ok. You can shop for them on endless.com and zappos.com by height.

Thanks for the tip!  I'm not sure why I am so fixated on the shoes when I have about 6 months before my dress even comes in, and 16 months till the wedding.  Oh well - For some reason the shoes are very concerning to me!

I had to get my dress ordered hollow to hem too because I'm 5' tall. I started to just take a generic pair of heels for my measurements, but I am so glad I didn't because the shoes I ended up with have about a 4" heel (I was only planning on a 3") I thought it was waaaay harder to find the shoes than the dress!!! I guess it really depends on how high of a heel you are comfortable with.
